EC Declarations announced

On Tuesday 19 August the Federal Government made an announcement on the 26 areas of NSW that were due to have their EC declaration status expire on 30 September. The majority of areas have been extended for 6 months until 31 March 2009. The Association has welcomed the timely announcement allowing farmers time to plan business decisions and assess the outcomes of this years harvest.

Speakers Bureau – Telling Agriculture’s Story

The NSW Farmers Association has launched our Speaker’s Bureau to tell agriculture’s story.  This is a new initiative by the Association to promote a greater understanding of farm life and agricultural issues with folk living in urban communities.  Chief Executive Shaughn Morgan encourages members to sign up as a speaker with the Speakers Bureau to help us tell agriculture’s story.
