Government Relations Officer

Sydney CBD

The NSW Farmers’ Association is currently seeking applications for a Government Relations Officer. Reporting to the Manager Government Relations you will assist in the implementation of lobbying campaigns and establish and maintain relevant relationships to achieve priority policy outcomes for the Association.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Research and disseminate information on relevant governmental, legislative and industry initiatives;
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for successful lobbying campaigns based on the Association’s strategic priority policy issues;
  • In conjunction with the Manager Government Relations, develop strong linkages with key governmental and industry stakeholders; 
  • Liaise with relevant staff to identify issues for progression; and 
  • Provide administrative support to the Manager Government Relations.

To be successful in this position you will have tertiary qualifications in policy, politics, agriculture, law or equivalent along with strong Microsoft Office, research and communication skills.
