1. Land Management

With the ever increasing legislation and red tape involved with the management of rural enterprises, the Western Division Council has decided that land management will be their number on priority this year.

There are many issues that fall under this overarching heading, the major ones being; the right to better manage Invasive Native Scrub, Water Reforms and access to water and the right to farm.

The council feels that these issues greatly affect Western Division landholder ability to undertake agricultural production in an economical and environmentally sustainable fashion.
