Speakers Bureau – Telling Agriculture’s Story

The NSW Farmers Association has launched our Speaker’s Bureau to tell agriculture’s story.  This is a new initiative by the Association to promote a greater understanding of farm life and agricultural issues with folk living in urban communities.  Chief Executive Shaughn Morgan encourages members to sign up as a speaker with the Speakers Bureau to help us tell agriculture’s story.

StrawberryHorticulture Code of Conduct

The NSW Farmers Association has been assisting fruit, vegetable and nut growers on the north coast with the introduction of the Horticulture Code of Conduct.

The Association organised information forums in Coffs Harbour and Lismore that featured presentations from the Australian Consumer & competition Council (ACCC) and plenty of question time for growers.

From May 14, growers and traders will enter into Horticulture Produce Agreements when they trade fruit, vegetables and nuts.

The NSW Farmers Association now has templates of these agreements available for growers and traders to use as a guide to doing business under the new code.
