Education and Training

The NSW Farmers’ Association aims to provide members with relevant and accessible education and training opportunities.

The Association directly entered the farm training market in 2005, contracting experienced trainers to present practical workshops as required by members. This year, 128 training activities were conducted, involving 2026 participants. The training programs that The NSW Farmers Association have compiled are comprehensive, and since inception have been a resounding success, assisting Farmers in key areas of their business from Farm Safety through to Farm Financial Management.

Members saved more than $130,000 in discounts, and saved over 1,000 off-farm days through our innovative flexible delivery mechanisms, through the Association’s courses.

We are offering training in the following areas:

Farm Planning
Senior First Aid

Farm Planning is your basic tool for developing your farm for improved productivity and sustainable outcomes. It offers the opportunity to look closely at what you are doing now, and to lay out a plan for changes which will benefit both your business now and in future generations, and the wider community through improved environmental outcomes.

Farm Safety Management
Wheat Marketing Information Sessions

Occupational Health and Safety Legislation has been in force since 1 September 2003. The legislation applies to all farms, mines and workplaces, whether or not you have employees. Ignoring the changes will not give you any protection from penalties or other action by WorkCover. Don't risk not being up-to-date with the latest Occupational Health and Safety Legislation.
