Drought support and assistance measures 

There is much confusion about which assistance measures are still in place however a list of measures being administered through the Rural Assistance Authority can be found here.

Latest announcements
  • On 12 January 2015 the NSW Government announced an additional $20 million under the Emergency Water Infrastructure Rebate scheme please click here.
  • On 3 February 2015 the NSW Government unveiled a $300 million drought package focussed on resilience and preparedness. Click here.
  • On 12 May 2015 the Federal Government announced that in addition to the $333 million, the Commonwealth will provide $70 million to assist primary producers claim accelerated depreciation for water facilities, fodder storage and fencing from 1 July 2016. Click here.
