It presents a brief introduction to areas of key public policy concern, outlines the context for those concerns and discusses possible new policy and legislative directions.
The Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery, addressed both Houses of Parliament and outlined the Government's proposed program of legislation for the session. The program includes reform of the economy, work and family relations, education, health, the environment (greenhouse gas emissions and water resources), housing affordability and homelessness, social inclusion, Indigenous policy, national security and international relations, trade, and governance and transparency.
