Wild Dogs

CRM_WD_ThumbnailThe Association has been an active participant in the aerial baiting rate of 1080. The APVMA has advised the Association that it is willing to provide a transitional licence under which a higher baiting rate is allowed, provided that research is undertaken to clarify the effective bait rate in NSW conditions.

The objectives of this priority area are to:

  • Retain an effective bait rate on private lands.
  • Call for research to be undertaken into the effectiveness of a reduction from current bait rate before any policy changes are implemented
  • Maintain discussions with advisors of the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.
