 Land Based Leases in OISAS
As mentioned in Priority Issue 1, OISAS has been a fantastic move forward for the NSW Oyster Industry and has given the industry great confidence.
The major omission from OISAS, as indicated in the Industrys submission, is the fact that oyster land bases administered by the Department of Primary Industries are yet to be included within OISAS.
Oyster land bases are essential for all oyster businesses and the Committee sees inclusion of land based sites into the document as a critical step in cementing industries tenure into the future.
