Mining in the Western Division

Mining has long been an ongoing issue in the Western Division that the Association is still trying very hard to get traction with the State Government. Key concerns held by Western Division landholders in regards opal mining leases on their properties include miners caring out of illegal activity, the issues of OH&S, biosecurity, erosion and land degradation, and the devaluation of land and assets as a result of the mining activities.
