This website has been created to help inform those seeking information about recent legislative changes.

The NSW Work Health and Safety Act will be effective from 1 January 2012. The new legislation will replace the current NSW Occupational Health and Safety Act. NSW Farmers has been awarded funding from WorkCover Assist to provide training and education programs to members and the general public. NSW Farmers will be conducting a series of WHS Seminars and other training initiatives over the coming months.

Work Health & Safety Act 
The Work Health and Safety Act will replace the existing Occupational Health & Safety Act commencing from 1 January 2012. Business operators only have a few months to review and update their existing health and safety systems to align them with the new requirements. The new WHS legislation will also comprise of WHS Regulations, supported by National Codes of Practice and guidance materials. For more information about the WHS Act and Regulations click here...
