Yass Branch Weeds Forum
NSW Farmers Yass Branch invites all landholders, contractors and retailers involved in weed management to a Weeds Forum.

Since the introduction of the Biosecurity Act in 2015, roles and responsibilities surrounding weed management and consequences of general biosecurity duty are still not clear for many landholders and managers.  This Forum aims to have landholders’ questions answered by those in positions directly related to the management of the Regional Strategic Weed Plan and the administration and enforcement of the Biosecurity Act as it relates to weeds.
 
Panel speakers include: 

• Mark Livermore and Brett Lees – Yass Valley Council
• Megan Wyllie – Invasive Species Coordinator, South East Local Land Services
• Angus Cole and Margaret Cameron – Chair and NSW Farmers Rep - Regional Weeds Committee
• Mich Michelmore – Invasive Species Officer, NSW Department of Primary Industries

Invited guests include Member for Goulburn, Wendy Tuckerman MP, and Yass Valley Council Mayor, Rowena Abbey.
