HumeLink: Your opinion matters - how to effectively engage
NSW Farmers' regional staff and policy team have been receiving a lot of questions about the proposed Transgrid Projects HumeLink and Energy Connect. 
 
The aim of his meeting is to inform members of the procedures of policy making within our association, It will also enable non members to understand that our policy comes from the grassroots membership.  
 
Regional Services Manager, Dan Brear, will take attendees through: 

Who NSW Farmers are, How our policy is made and how that policy is acted upon. 
The role NSW Farmers plays in agricultural lobbying.
The importance of on the ground intelligence and fact based communication. 

Dan will also advise Non Members in attendance on:  

The value of being a member. The benefits of being involved in NSW Farmers
That NSW Farmers is representative of those that turn up and make their voice heard. 
That NSW Farmers works to build strong relationships with industries  and government to be able to have frank and honest discussions to give positive outcomes for our members as a whole.
